The long & skinny green scarf (made of Merino Wool yarn) has vertical ribbing (K2, P2 straight across). It was the second scarf I ever made, and I gave it to my mom for Christmas. Unfortunately, she finds the wool to be too itchy on her neck. So, I then made her the hat & scarf set using two strands of white Caron Simply Soft (100% Acrylic, 7oz/366yds) and one strand of light blue Lana Grossa’s India Cotton ribbon yarn (68% Microfiber/32% Cotton, 50g/60m) using garter stitch (K all rows). The acrylic and ribbon are much softer on her neck. The hat pattern was the same one I’d used before from Blue Sky. (Thanks to Mom for emailing me the pics!)
